i recently put my tfsa money into a short term gic which doesn't mature until august and the statement my bank sent me said i would get 11.50 or something after it has matured at 0.70% interest. I am wondering if i do still get the interest from having the tax free savings account as well? i wouldn't think it is worth it to lock it in until August because the other interest rate was around 2% ( maybe a bit lower now). Sorry if i sound dumb, i am new to investing.
