Bare Minerals seems to have the corner on this market, but extensive research has revealed several other names. There's some more expensive than BE like Jane Iredale which is supposed to be worth the hefty price and then there's the average drugstore brands like Milani which are much more affordable, but hav
e ingredient lists that are pretty extensive. It was interesting to learn that just because a label says it's mineral makeup, it might have just a micron actually included.
So if anybody else is on a quest to find a makeup that is healthier for your skin, but won't bankrupt you at the same time, you might want to try the following:
Alchemist's Apprentice - I wish I could better afford their products which are less expensive than BE but still pricey for our budget. What's nice though is that you can order sample sizes for something like $2.50.
Everyday Minerals - This is the place you can really afford to get a feel of mineral makeup. They actually offer FREE samples. You only need to pay for postage which is around $3.50. They have several sizes available so once you find a shade that works for you, you can order whatever you can currently afford. The most expensive foundation is only $12 unless you choose a custom kit which can cut the price by half or more. They have a wide range of foundation shades available and there's also blushes, eye shadows, and lip gloss. There's a limited selection of skin care products, but I guess you can't have everything.

In any case, I hope somebody else can benefit from this information...
