Quote:People are aware, Im aware. My problem is this: Governments focus on changing the habits of the small peasants the ones they can easily control, not the ones that matter. Secondly Al Gore has some sort of renewable energy investments, and he has said 15 years ago that the world be kaput in 10 years,,,so a bit of a conflict of interest there. Or like john Lennon telling people to live minimistically, pretty easy to do when you have millions you can fall back on at any time or when you dont have to worry about your next meal.
who cares if Al Gore has investments in renewable energy? of course he does, he is trying to get it to the forefront and have renewable energies become the norm for energy sources in the US and worldwide. He knows this is what the ecosystem needs of us, and it is healthy for us and our planet and the future of our species and all other species on the planet. This is for the good of all man kind, renewable energy needs investors to get it off the ground, like anything else. So who cares if he has money in it, good for him! We need it and we need more people like him to invest in it and spread the word.
Our current administration has done nothing about global warming. They have made it clear that their interest is in the continued use of oil, why? Because they make billions of dollars off of the oil! Bush even spent billions of dollars (of our taxpayer money)to go to war in the middle east to get his hands on more oil! His vested interest is in oil, so why is he not being villified? He cares more about making money off of a energy source that is killing us all.
So which choice is best? support the bush administration and other policiticans with his same mindset and interests? Or support Al Gore and any politicians who have his interests?
We also need to start putting the environment as the most important issue in the next presidental and other elections. Because if we dont, education, economy, abortion, medicare, etc. None of that will matter if most of us are no longer here to benefit.
